MASSAGE TECHNIQUE DESCRIPTIONS:

Therapeutic massage uses a variety of massage techniques to promote tissue healing. It can alleviate back pain, decrease the symptoms of many chronic conditions and speed recovery from injuries and surgeries. The goal is to increase the blood and lymph circulation, release the adhesions in painfully damaged muscles, and restore structural balance. Rates: $60.00 per hour, $35.00 1/2 hour, $110.00 for an hour and a half.

Swedish massage involves the manipulation of the superficial muscle layers to improve mental and physical health. Methods include long, gliding strokes on the torso and limbs, gentle kneading and rolling of the muscles, deeper circular motions around the joints and spine, percussive tapping, and rapid shaking that elicits a vibration effect. The massage encourages the removal of toxins in muscles and other tissues, and increases the activity of the circulatory system. Rates: $60.00 per hour, $35.00 1/2 hour, $110.00 for an hour and a half.

Deep Tissue massage starts by use of Swedish techniques to warm up the muscles. The massage then progresses to sustained direct pressure on spasms and knots, deep friction of the tendons and slow intense stretching of the muscle fascia. These encourage the muscles to return to their normal positions and lengths to improve motion and structural integrity. Rates: $60.00 per hour, $35.00 1/2 hour, $110.00 for an hour and a half.

Reflexology is a manipulative technique that is based on the theory that there are areas on the foot that correspond to each internal and external part of the body. Pressure is used to stimulate these areas to relieve tension, stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems and improve the function of the associated areas of the body. It can reduce the discomfort and pain caused by stress, trauma or disease. Rates: $55.00 per session.

The Raindrop Technique uses antimicrobial and anti-viral essential oils to reduce spasms and inflammation. The aromatic oils are dispensed like drops of rain along the spine and are massaged into the vertebrae and muscles of the back to bring the body back to top structural and electrical alignment. Rates: $85.00 per session.

Reiki uses a combination of universal energy with individual energy to open pathways of healing. This is done by placing the hands on or just above the body in order to align chakras and bring healing energy to organs and glands. Reiki affects the whole person; body, emotions, mind and spirit, inducing benefits that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Rates: $60.00 per session.

Manual Lymph Drainage therapy uses specific subtle techniques to detoxify and regenerate the immune system. It helps filters out harmful toxins and also reduces swelling, bruising and pain. Rates: $55.00 per session.

CranioSacral therapy. $95.00 per session..

Aromatherapy massage 1 hour. Rates: $130.00 per sesson
